Artist up town
J ason McLean was born and raised in London, Ontario, were he attended Art High School. Since moving to Vancouver he has studied at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, majoring in Studio Practice. Jason, 29, was diagnosed with schizophrenia three years ago and finds his art to be very therapeutic. He has exhibited in numerous art shows across Canada and recently currated two Small Press Book Exhibitions in Vancouver and Seattle. Jason is currently represented by the Tracy Lawrence Gallery in Vancouver, where he has a two person show with artist Marc Bell coming up in June 2001.
