Poems: by Muriel Marjorie

What I have learned and what I continue to relearn

So I have joined the mainstream

What's the point anymore
my escape, my ex capes, my addictions, my reruns
the Big Pit snarling, clawing imaginations
the fire that burns...
toward me
as I running towards it
so I "must" turn
I dread to turn
to face my enemy
to face my fear
to speak up, to slow down
to make known
a representative of myself
So I have joined the mainstream
only to find it's fishtailed
and I'm edgy
no pom poms
Just beserk
Summer saulting down salted minds
exploding shadows
lighting my prayer light
Forsaking all others
on an exploring Trust
I learn to walk
casting down
the cloth of imposed parchment
self-respectable respect
I still boomerang out adventuring paths
only to return
Uprooting in the stillness
of unspoken, unseen sentences
present in the present
able to be
the constant paralleling the unconstant
